Pawn Shop Roses at World Cafe Live

Pawn Shop Roses turned in a strong performance tonight at world café live upstairs. With undercurrents of Maroon 5 and the grateful dead, the roses put up a solid set of songs that got the audience grooving. Even those at tables were getting up to move with the music. With overtones of alternative rock and neo-swamp country the Roses got the catcalls rising from the crowd. Playing three sets, the Roses switched it up going all acoustic for their second. Most would expect this switch to calm the crowds, but all it did was bring more people to the dance floor. All in all it was one hell of a performance and I know I am looking forward to the next time I can see the band perform. If only to watch them work the crowds.
