Drexel University hasn't had a "real" football team since 1973. It's a running joke at the University that the school has been undefeated since 1973. So much so, that at the turn of this Century a number of Drexel Students decided to make the most out of this long standing joke. They decided to finally give Drexel the football team it craved.Every time the Team performs they accept suggestions from the audience and develop their improvised skits and stand up around these suggestions. It is generally acknowledged that the suggestions put forth by the Drexel Student body, combined with the wit of the team, always result in memorable performances.
So ... come out this Friday, the 14th of November at 8 PM to participate in the Team's second performance this Fall. The Team, a motley crew, will be performing until 9:30 in Drexel University's "classic" Stein Auditorium on the First Floor of Nesbitt Hall, located at the NE corner of 33rd and Market Streets ... just across from all the construction on the Drexel Athletic Center (DAC) ... work that might just allow the school to some day support a "real" football team.
