Drexel vs. Penn Tug-of-War

The Drexel University Office of Student Life is hosting a tug-of-war between Drexel and Penn Monday, November 17, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Hill Field (33rd and Chestnut Streets).

The event is to get both schools fired up for the “Battle of 33rd Street” basketball game Tuesday, November 18, at 10 a.m. that will be broadcast live on ESPN.

Participating fraternity and sorority members will wear their colors and letters and display their school pride. Each school's team will have a total of 30 members to participate in men’s, women’s and co-ed match-ups. Drexel’s team will consist of members from 15 University chapters.

Participants will be recognized at the basketball game and the winning school will receive a smaller version of the “Battle of 33rd Street” trophy.

All members of the Drexel and UPenn communities are invited to show their pride. There will be music, snacks and giveaways for attendees.

For more information about the event, contact intramurals@drexel.edu.
